St. Mary's Church Data Privacy Regulations
As of 25th May 2018 will be implementing the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) which is intended to give individuals more say in how their personal data is used.
As a result, St. Mary's must advise anyone, on whom personal data is held, exactly how their data is used and for what purpose it is kept. Permission must be obtain from the individual to provide St. Mary's with the right to hold and use the data for the purpose specified.
GDPR gives individuals the right to see all data held on them and, if so desired, request it be changed or, if not required for legal reasons, have the data deleted.
GDPR requires St. Mary's to publish how the policy works and also obtain, from all individuals on whom data is held, a signed document stating how the data is to be used.
All documents are in accordance with C of E guidelines which have been agreed by the PCC.
